Description of key information

The LD50 in female rats was found to be greater than 2000 mg/kg body weight.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Acute toxicity: via oral route

Endpoint conclusion
Dose descriptor:
LD50
Value:
2 000 mg/kg bw

Additional information

The median lethal dose of Cyclohexylphenylketone after single oral administration to female rats, observed over a period of 14 days is LD50(female rat): greater than 2000 mg/kg body weight. At the dose applied, one out of six female rats died.

Justification for classification or non-classification

There are conclusive but not sufficient data for classification of Cyclohexylphenylketone with regard to acute toxicity.

Cyclohexylphenylketone is not classified for this endpoint in accordance to Directive 67/548/EEC or the CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008

However, since mortality occurred in 1/6 rats, class V classification will apply for GHS.
