Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
2014
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: Well described experiment. No guideline followed (EC A.6 and OECD 105 are not applicable).
Qualifier:
no guideline followed
Principles of method if other than guideline:
Test substance was stirred with water at different concentrations. Based on visual observations and refractive index measurements it was concluded that the substance is very soluble in water. The methods as described in the EC A.6 and OECD 105 test guidelines do not appply to this test substance.
GLP compliance:
no
Type of method:
other: preliminary solubility test
Water solubility:
>= 882 g/L
Temp.:
20 °C
Remarks on result:
other: no data on pH
Details on results:
-Observation after the equilibration period: all solutions showed no undissolved material and were homogeneous.
-Measured RI values for the concentrations: see table below
-The r^2 value for the linear fit indicates no curvature (see picture below). From this it was concluded that none of the preparations contained undissolved test substance.

Conclusions:
Interpretation of results (migrated information): very soluble (> 10000 mg/L)
In a preliminary solubility test, the substance was determined to be very soluble in water; water solubility of at least 882 g/L. The methods as described in the EC A.6 and OECD 105 test guidelines do not apply to this substance. Therefore no further tests were conducted.
