Additional information

No study on the toxicity of D-Glucopyranose, oligomeric, undecyl glycoside (CAS 98283-67-1) to soil macroorganisms is available. In accordance to the Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 Annex XI, 1.5 a read across was conducted to a study from the structurally related substance D-Glucopyranose, oligomeric, C10-16-alkyl glycosides (CAS 110615-47-9). The read across approach is justified in the overall summary of IUCLID Chapter 6.1 and in detail within the category justification attached in IUCLID Section 13.

In the available study the short term effects of D-Glucopyranose, oligomeric, C10-16-alkyl glycosides to soil macroorganisms were investigated (Steber et al., 1995). The test was performed according to the OECD guideline 207 with the annelid Eisenia sp. and artificial soil. At test termination after 14 d no effects were observed up to the highest test concentration of 654 mg/kg (nominal) based on mortality.
