Additional information

Considering the toxicity of propanamide, 3-amino-2,2-dimethyl- (CAS 324763 -51 -1) to microorganisms, experimental data from two studies are available. The key study is a GLP compliant OECD Guideline 209 study resulting in a 30-min EC EC50 value of >1,000 mg/L using domestic activated sludge as inoculum (BASF AG, 2005; no analytical monitoring performed). In a further supporting GLP compliant OECD 209 study (also performed without analytical monitoring), a 3-h EC50 value of 13,000 mg/L was observed with activated sludge from a domestic STP as inoculum (CETA, 2004).

The 30-min EC50 of >1,000 mg/L will be used for the assessment.
