Description of key information

Two studies addressing phototransformation in water were conducted with the following results obtained:
Wolt JD, Woodburn K, Chari S, Shepler K & Ruzo LO (1991a): The actual and extrapolated half-life of light-exposed Flumetsulam is approximately 164 days (R=0.86) and 326 days (R=0.53) at pH5 and pH7, respectively.
Wolt JD, Woodburn K, Chari S, Shepler K & Ruzo LO (1991b): The extrapolated half-life of light-exposed Flumetsulam was approximately 151 days and 727 days at pH 5 and 7, respectively.

Additional information

Both available studies were of equal reliability but gave different results. Therefore, neither study was selected as key information, but are instead provided as supporting data. As this endpoint is not mandatory for a REACH registration, this is considered to be an acceptable approach.
