First-aid measures

Ingestion: Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Wash out the mouth with water. Seek medical attention.
Inhalation: Remove the exposed individual to fresh air. If not breathing give artificial respiration. Seek medical attention.
Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash with soap and large amounts of water. Seek medical attention.
Eyes contact: Wash immediately with clean and gently flowing water. Continue for at least 15 minutes. Assure adequate flushing of the eyes by separating the eyelids with fingers. Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media:
Carbon dioxide, dry powder, water spray or foam extinguishers are recommended. Choose the extinguishing media on the basis of the involved area.
Unsuitable extinguishing media: None

By combustion it may emit toxic fumes of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and sulfur oxides.
As the substance, when exposed to thermic irradiation or directly involved in a fire, may produce toxic fumes, if it is safe to do, remove the containers from the fire area or keep
containers cool.
Damaged containers must be handled only by authorized trained personnel.
Extinguish flames at a safe distance from the containers, by using fire hoses or extinguishers automatic systems with nozzles positioned at the top of the containers.

Accidental release measures

Evacuate from affected area the personnel not involved in emergency intervention.
Alert internal emergency personnel or firefighters.
If immediate action is necessary refer to the instructions / directions for emergency personnel.

For emergency responders: Wear appropriate fire and heat-proof protective equipment and self-contained breathing apparatus.

Prevent entry into waterways, sewers, surface drainage systems and poorly ventilated areas.
Handle according to good working practices avoiding environmental release.
Stop the source of spill or contain the leakage if it is safe to do so using inert material.
Prevent the entry of the substance into the sewer system by covering of sewage.
Clean-up small spills of dry solids with mechanical non-sparking tools. Avoid creating dusty conditions and prevent wind dispersal. Place in appropriate container for waste disposal
according to law in force. Wash the residues with water preventing the entry into the sewer system.

Handling and storage

Avoid dust formation and the dispersion into the environment.
Use local exhaust ventilation for operations with potential to generate airborne dust.
Do not expose to heat sources.
Do not breath dust. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Avoid prolonged or repeated exposure. The substance is low sensitive to ignition by electrostatic discharges at ambient condition. Personal and powder earthing measures are required.
Technical measures to avoid the formation and accumulation of electrostatic charges must be adopted.
Provide inertization and over pressure protection; avoid pneumatic transfer or drying in atmosphere of airborne dust

Store the material in a cool, dry and well-ventilated area away from sources of ignition.
Keep the containers properly labelled and tightly closed.
Do not store in presence of strong oxidizing agents.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Eye / face protection: Use full face powder mask with filter ABEK-P3
Skin protection
i) Hand protection: Use chemical resistant gloves.
ii) Part of the body protection: Wear Tyvek suit with hood type 4-5-6.
iii) Specific hygiene measures: Do not drink or eat during handling.
Remove the contaminated personal protective equipment after handling, wash them thoroughly with water and take a shower.
Respiratory protection: Use full face powder mask with filter ABEK-P3

Stability and reactivity

The substance does not present reactivity hazard when used under normal conditions.

Disposal considerations

Dispose of waste in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
