Description of key information

Non flammable upon ignition.
The substance has no pyrophoric properties and does not liberate flammable gases on contact with water.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

non flammable

Additional information

Flammability derived from flash point (and boilling point). The substance is not classified because the flashpoint is > 93° C

Based on chemical structure pyrophoric properties and flammability in contact with water are not to be expected.

The UN test series A to H for self-reactive substances and mixtures does not need to be conducted as the heat of decomposition is greater than 300 J/g, but the onset temperature is greater than 200 °C.

The UN test N 4 for self-heating substances and mixtures does not need to be conducted as the substance is a liquid.

The UN test series A to H for organic peroxides does not need to be conducted as by definition based on their chemical structure the substance is no organic peroxide.

Justification for classification or non-classification
