Endpoint:
flash point of flammable liquids
Data waiving:
study technically not feasible
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the flash point is only relevant to liquids and low melting point solids
Reason / purpose for cross-reference:
data waiving: supporting information

Description of key information

Waiving

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

According to the EU guideline A.9 the flash-point is the lowest temperature, corrected to a pressure of 101,325 kPa, at which a liquid evolves vapours, under the conditions defined in the test method, in such an amount that a flammable vapour/air mixture is produced in the test vessel. The substance is a solid powder at 25 °C and 101325 Pa.
