Description of key information

Carcinogenicity of Tert-Butyl methyl(2-oxopropyl)carbamate was estimated by using the following predictors: VEGA (three models), Derek Nexus and Toxtree.

The predictors were employed in order to apply a weight of evidence (WoE) approach to enhance the reliability of the prediction. In the weight of evidence assessment only reliable predictions are to be taken into account.

Vega predicted the target compound as: Non-Carcinogen (moderate reliable - CAESAR model), Carcinogen (high reliable - ISS model), Carcinogen (moderate reliable - IRFMN/Antares model) and Possible NON-Carcinogen (not reliable - IRFMN/ISSCAN-CGX model). Derek Nexus identified no alerts for the target compound. Toxtree predicted the target compound as negative for nongenotoxic carcinogenicity but identified a structural alert for genotoxic carcinogenicity.

Thus, it was concluded that Tert-Butyl methyl(2-oxopropyl)carbamate was predicted as positive for carcinogenicity and theprediction was assessed as moderate reliable.
