Test organisms

Test organisms (species):
Porcellus scaber
Details on test organisms:
Adults of Porcellio saber were supplied from a laboratory hatchery.

Test conditions

Test temperature:
15°C
pH:
not reported
TOC:
not reported
Moisture:
not reported
Details on test conditions:
-laboratory experiment
- Organisms were exposed to partly decomposed leaf litter material soaked in an aqueous solution of 100, 500 or 1000mg/kg Pb2+ (as PbCl2), or 500, 1000 for three weeks. Controls were wetted with tap water. Isopods were kept in plastic boxes on a moist gypsum base covered by the above mentioned partly decomposed leaf litter material; To adjust exposure conditions to the respective preferences of the test species and to meet the field situation.

Nominal and measured concentrations:
measured lead concentrations (mg Pb/kg dw): 7.1 (control), 517.1, 2777.5 and 7676.0
