Description of key information

The Flash point of FRET 05 -0293 at, atmospheric pressure (100.3 kPa), is 47 ± 2 °C according to EU Method A.9 (Flash-Point) using the closed cup equilibrium method. The substance is considered a flammable liquid because the flash point < 60°C based on the classification criteria for flammable liquids (Annex I of CLP Section 2.6).

With regards to flammability in contact with water, the structural features of the substance were evaluated and it was concluded that the substance does not contain groups that might lead to the evolution of a dangerous amount of flammable gas when coming into contact with water or damp air (ECHA guidance R.7.1.10.3). No metals, transition metals, boron or silicon are present in the substance. Also, handling during the water solubility test confirms this conclusion.

With regards to pyrophoric properties, evaluation of the structural features of the substance revealed that the substance does not contain any chemical group that might lead to spontaneous ignition a short time after coming into contact with air (ECHA guidance R.7.1.10.3).
