Description of key information

The substance is a colorless to pale yellow liquid with slight haze permitted according to the technical bulletin of the manufacturer.

The freezing point was determined to be < -20°C and the boiling point to be 237.5°C by using the Siwoloboff method.

The relative density of the test item was determined to be 1.010 and the vapour pressure to be 71 Pa at 20.0°C.

The particule size distribution testing was not performed as the substance is a liquid.

The Pow value of the test item has been determined to be 5.33 E-2 at 23 ± 1°C. This corresponds to a log Pow value of  -1.28 at pH 11.

The corrected Pow at pH7 of the test item was calculated to be less than 4.82 E-4. This corresponds to a log Pow value of less than -3.32 at pH 7.

The test item has been determined to be miscible with water in all proportions at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C and have surface active properties (61.9 mN/m at a test concentration of 1 g/L at 20°C).

The flash point of the substance was determined to be 132.5°C and the auto-ignition temperature to be 254°C at atmospheric pressure.

The test item does not generate flammable gases in contact with water and is also not a pyrophoric liquid and have neither oxidising nor explosive properties.
