Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Aquatic toxicity studies from a structural analogue of the test substance are available for two trophic levels, namely aquatic invertebrates and algae. The studies were conducted according to GLP and are considered a reasonable estimation of the aquatic hazard based on the structural and chemical similarity of the source substance (see read-across justification section 13).

The endpoint for aquatic invertebrates is covered by one key study investigating the acute toxicity of the structural analogue towards Daphnia magna according to the OECD guideline 202. Due to the nature of the data obtained, it appeared more appropriate to state an effect range, which was 245 mg/L < EC50 (24 h) < 347 mg/L (average measured concentration).

For the second trophic level there is one key study available investigating the effects of the structural analogue on the growth of Desmodesmus subspicatus according to the OECD guideline 201. The derived ErC50 (72 h) was 500 mg/L (arithmetic mean measured) and the NOErC (72 h) was 74 mg/L (arithmetic mean measured).
