Results and discussion

Pyrophoric solids
Test procedure:
ignition time on contact with air
Remarks:
Ignition on contact with air refers to either Pyrophoric solids or Pyrophoric liquids depending on physical state (migrated information).
Remarks on result:
no ignition on contact with air (not further specified)
Remarks:
corresponding to 'no' in migrated source record.
Pyrophoric liquids
Test procedure:
ignition time on contact with air

Remarks on result:
no ignition on contact with air (not further specified)
Remarks:
corresponding to 'no' in migrated source record.

Any other information on results incl. tables

The test item showed no reaction when a flame was applied as ignition source at ambient temperature.

The test item caught fire briefly when a hot platinum wire was applied as ignition source. The flame extinguished rapidly after removal of the hot platinum wire.

No fire spreading was observed. The test item melted.

Therefore, determination of the burning rate was not required.

The combustion behaviour of the product at ambient temperature is characterized by the combustion number BZ 2 (catches fire briefly and extinguishes rapidly).

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
non flammable
Remarks:
Migrated information
Conclusions:
The test item is non flammable (BZ 2).
Executive summary:

Flammability was tested according to EU Method A.10 and VDI guideline 2263. The test substance was rated with BZ (Brennzahl) 2 and is therefore non flammable.
