Description of key information

The substance itself hydrolyses rapidly. The log Kow of 2,2,4 (or 2,4,4)-trimethylhexane-1,6-diamine (main degradation product) was determined experimentally according to OECD guideline No. 117. The value of -0.3 at 25 °C and pH 7.5 indicates a low potential for bioaccumulation.
The formed polyurea components are due to their molecular size, low mobility, and high log Kow not bioavailable (low potential to cross biological membranes).
