First-aid measures

- Skin contact:
After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of water.
Remove contaminated clothing and shoes.
- Eye contact:
In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
- Inhalation:
Remove to fresh air.
If breathing is difficult, give oxygen.
If not breathing, give artificial respiration, preferably mouth to mouth.
Seek medical advice.
- Ingestion:
Rinse mouth out with water.
Seek medical advice.
- Emergency equipment:
Provide wash facilities for eyes and skin near work area.

Fire-fighting measures

- Extinguishing media :
Suitable : Dry chemicals, foam.
Use media appropriate for surrounding fire.

High temperatures may liberate toxic or corrosive gases. Do not breathe smoke or vapours.
- Protective equipment for fire-fighters:
Self contained breathing apparatus.
Wear suitable protective clothing.

Accidental release measures

- Personal precautions:
Evacuate all personnel from danger area. Do not approach area without self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing.
Ventilate area.
- Environmental precautions:
Knock down vapour cloud with spray of water or other appropriate solution.
Contain any spill with dikes or absorbents to prevent migration and entry into sewers or streams.
Do not empty into drains.
- Methods for cleaning up:
Absorb spill with sand or vermiculite, shovel up and place in a labelled sealable container for subsequent safe disposal. Put leaking container into a labelled drum or overdrum.
Residue may be washed down with water.

Handling and storage

Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Keep away from sources of ignition.
- Storage:
Store in dry, well-ventilated area.
Mechanical ventilation is recommended.
Local exhaust is needed at source of vapours.
