Preliminary Test

An approximate value of the ignition temperature of the test item was firstly determined by the preliminary test. Table 1 gives the result of the preliminary test. An ignition is denoted as “+" and no ignition is denoted as "-". 5 drops were put into the Erlenmeyer flask at each temperature.

According to observations in the test series, the auto-ignition temperature rounded down with an accuracy of 5 °C was determined to be 260 °C.

Conclusions:
The auto-ignition temperature was determined to be 260 ± 5 °C at 99.16 to 100.12 kPa atmospheric pressure.

The auto-ignition temperature was determined using EU Method A.15 and DIN 51794 (2003). The auto-ignition temperature is the lowest temperature at which the test item will ignite when mixed with air under the conditions defined in the test method.
