Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Warning
Eye Contact Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water, also under the eyelids
Keep eye wide open while rinsing
If symptoms persist, call a physician
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing Media Which Must not be Used for Safety Reasons
Do not use a solid water stream as it may scatter and spread fire.
Special exposure hazards arising from the substance or preparation itself, combustion products, resulting gases
Heating or fire can release toxic gas
Special protective equipment for fire-fighters
Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective suit.
Other information :
Fire residues and contaminated fire extinguishing water must be disposed of in
accordance with local regulations
Cool containers / tanks with water spray.
Accidental release measures
Use personal protective equipment
Avoid contact with the skin and the eyes
Remove all sources of ignition
Heat, flames and sparks
Ensure adequate ventilation
Environmental precautions
Prevent entry into waterways, sewers, basements or confined areas
Do not allow material to contaminate ground water system.
Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up
Methods for containment : Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so
Methods for cleaning up :
Contain spillage, and then collect with non-combustable absorbent material, (e.g. sand,
earth, diatomaceous earth, vermiculite) and place in container for disposal according to
local / national regulations (see section 13)
Use clean non-sparking tools to collect absorbed material
Handling and storage
Wear personal protective equipment
Ensure adequate ventilation
Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing
Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product
There is a hazard associated with rags, paper or any other material used to remove
spills which become soaked with product. Avoid accumulation of these: they are to be
disposed off safely after use
Avoid static electricity build up with connection to earth
Prevention of fire and explosion :
Keep away from open flames, hot surfaces and sources of ignition Make sure of the
presence of air and inhibitor in the drums.
Hygiene measures : When using, do not eat, drink or smoke Remove and wash contaminated clothing before
re-use Wear suitable gloves and eye/face protection. Wash hands before breaks and
immediately after handling the product
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Technical measures/Storage conditions
Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place
Ensure all equipment is electrically grounded before beginning transfer operations
Protect from frost, heat and sunlight
Keep at temperatures below 45°C
Materials to avoid : Acids, Bases, Oxidizing agents, Reducing agents
Packageing material : Baked phenolic lined carbon steel drums, Plastic drum
Unsuitable materials for containers : copper, Iron
Further information : Respect the advised storage time (6 months after delivery date)

Exposure controls / personal protection
Respiratory protection :None under normal use conditions.
Eye protection :
Safety glasses with side-shields
Contact lenses should not be worn when working with this chemical
Skin and body protection : Long sleeved clothing
Hand protection: Neoprene gloves , According to permeation index EN 374: 5 (time elapsed > 240 mins)
Environmental exposure controls : Do not allow material to contaminate ground water system.
Stability and reactivity
Hazardous polymerisation : Inhibitors have been added to stabilize this product Maintaining air in the storage
containers is important to keep inhibitors active
Conditions to avoid :
Heat, flames and sparks
Take precautionary measures against static charges
Materials to avoid : Acids, Bases, Oxidizing agents, Reducing agents
