- Conclusions:
- The dynamic viscosity of the test item at 20°C +/- 0.2°C ranged between 72 and 104 mPa.s at a shear rate from 20 to 100 s-1.
The dynamic viscosity of the test item was determined to be: - 69.5 mPa s at 20°C +/- 0.2°C, and 20.6 mPa s at 40°C +/- 0.1°C (constant shear rate of 500 s-1).
The test item was considered to be a Newtonian fluid. - Executive summary:
A GLP study was conducted to determine the viscosity of the test item by a rotatory viscometer method according to OECD guideline 114, CIPAC MT 192 and DIN EN ISO 3219.
The dynamic viscosity of the test item at 20°C +/- 0.2°C ranged between 72 and 104 mPa.s at a shear rate from 20 to 100 s-1.
The dynamic viscosity of the test item was determined to be 69.5 mPa.s at 20°C +/- 0.2°C and 20.6 mPa.s at 40°C +/- 0.1°C at a constant shear rate of 500 s-1.This study was reliable without restriction.
Reference
The viscosity of an oil standard was determined using a rotary viscometer (identical method as for the test item). The viscosity of the standard was determined to be 139 mPa.s at 20°C + 0.2°C (reference value 134 mPa.s) and 46.0 mPa. s at 40°C + 0.2°C (reference value 45.2 mPa.s)
The results:
The dynamic viscosity of the test item at 20°C + 0.2°C ranged between 72 and 104 mPa.s at a shear rate from 20 to 100 s-1.
The test item was considered to be a Newtonian fluid.
