Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

In order to assess the acute toxicity to fish, experimental data are available for the substance itself and for the two structural similar substances CAS 1328-53-6 and CAS 147 -14 -8. Test concentrations were not analytically verified in these static toxicity tests. The key study conducted according to OECD 203 was performed with the substance (96-h LC50 > 100 mg/L; nominal, Clariant GmbH, 2000).

There are further experimental data on the analogous substances which support the key result. In a limit study according to OECD TG 203 with Polychloro copper phthalocyanine (CAS 1328-53-6) no mortality of fish was observed at the end of the test, therefore the 96-h LC50 was determined to be higher than 100 mg/L (nominal, Colour Chem. Lim., 2000). Tween-80 was used as a vehicle. The concentration of the vehicle was 1 g/L. Additionally, two non-GLP tests conducted according to EPA-660/3-75-009 were performed with a source substance CAS 1328-53-6. The 96-h LC50 was determined to be 752 mg/l for Lepomis macrochirus as a test organism (nominal, Sun Chem Corp., 1978). Whereas in a second test conducted with Oncorhynchus mykiss as a test organism the 96-h LC50 was determined to be 356 mg/L (nominal, Sun Chem Corp, 1978). No vehicle was used in both studies. In support of this result, the 96-h LC50 of CAS 147-14-8 was determined in an OECD 203 guideline study with Danio rerio to be higher than 100 mg/L (nominal, BASF AG, 2004).

In conclusion it can be considered, that based on the available experimental data for the substance along with the supporting read-across data for the structurally similar substances, it can be concluded that CAS 27614 -71 -7 is with high probability acutely not harmful to fish.
