Description of key information

Additional information

Abiotic degradation:

The substance does not decompose in water under environmental pH as the absence of hydrolytic group in molecular structure.

Biodegradation:

The substance is not readily biodegradable. In a biodegradation test according to OECD 301 F and other guideline, the substance showed 0.75 % biodegradation after 28 days in the test conditions. Therefore, the Ligustral/Cyclal C/Trigustral is not readily biodegradable.

Bioaccumulation and Geoaccumulation:

The bioaccumulation in aquatic species study does not need to be conducted as the substance has a low potential for bioaccumulation (the substance has a log octanol water partition coefficient less than 3).

Transport and distribution:

A log Koc of 2.2 can be derived with OECD Guideline 121 and EU method C. 19.
