Toxicity to fish

The acute toxicity was investigated in freshwater fish rainbow trout. The 96h-LC50 was 7.5 mg/l with a 95 % confidence interval between 5.6 and 10 mg/l. A waiver is proposed for long-term toxicity to fish, on exposure grounds.

Toxicity to aquatic invertebrates

The acute toxicity was investigated in Daphnia. The 48h-EC50 corresponds with 22.4 mg/l based on the geometric means of the concentrations measured with the 95% confidence interval defined by the highest level that induced no immobility, 40.3 mg/l and the lowest level that induced 100% immobility, 12.4 mg/l.

Toxicity to algae

The toxicity was investigated in Scsnedesmus Subspicatus.

The EC50 for growth rate reduction (72 hours) is 31 mg/l based on nominal concentrations. The NOEC for growth rate reduction (72 hours) corresponded with a nominal concentration of 10 mg/l.

Toxicity to micro-organisms

At the concentration(100 mg/l) used in the ready biodegradation test, the substance is not inhibitory to the micro-organisms.
