Conclusions:
The water evaporation connected with the beginnig thermal decomposition was observed between start temperature and 190 °C. The rapid thermal decomposition of the test substance started at the temperature 230 °C. Any peaks correspond to the melting or boiling of the test substance was not observed to the temperature at whitch the thermal decomposition started.
Executive summary:

The melting of the testsubstance, Acid Yellow 25 was investigated. The Differential Scanning Calorimetry method was used.

 

The procedures used in the study were in accordance with:

-         Method A.1. Melting/Freezing temperature,Council Regulation (EC) No.440/2008, Published in O.J. L 142, 2008

-         OECD Test Guideline No.102, Melting Point/Melting Range, Adopted July 27, 1995

The rapid thermal decomposition of the test substance started at the temperature 230°C. Any peaks correspond to the melting of the test substance was not observed to the temperature at which the thermal decomposition started.
