Additional information

No data are available for trichloro(vinyl)silane. Reliable acute aquatic toxicity tests results for freshwater fish (Oncorhynchus mykiss), invertebrates (Daphnia magna) and algae (Pseudokirchnerella subcapitata) are however available from a read-across substance (Trimethoxyvinylsilane (2768 -02 -7)) that shares the same hydrolysis products. The 96 -h LC50 for Oncorhynchus mykiss was 191 mg/L. The 48 -h EC50 for Daphnia magna and 7 -d EC50 for Pseudokirchnerella subcapitata were 168.7 and 210 mg/L, respectively. A NOEC of 25 mg/L was determined in the algal test. It is likely that the test organisms were exposed to the hydrolysis products of the substance.
