Additional information

No studies investigating the biodegradation of the substance in soil are available. The results from the ready biodegradability test (54 % after 28 days) and the inherent biodegradability test (69% after 28 days) show that the substance is biodegradable. Furthermore, high quality aquatic ecotoxicity studies show that the substance is not harmful or toxic even under chronic exposure conditions and that bioaccumulation is of no importance for this substance.

In summary, further simulation testing is not considered necessary due to the following reasons: a) the substance is biodegradable; b) the substance shows no indication for toxicity in aquatic ecotoxicity studies and c) the substance is not bioaccumulative.
