Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The particle size distribution of reaction mass of dicerium trisulphide and dilanthanum trisulphide was studied under GLP conditions in two steps: (1) optical microscope analysis, (2) laser diffraction analysis according to ISO 13320:2009, CIPAC MT 187.

The results obtained with laser diffraction analysis showed that:

- the Mass Median Aerodynamic Diameter is 182.775 µm

- d10 is 5.901 µm

- d50 is 82.485 µm

- d90 is 210.328 µm

- the particle size range is between 0.2 µm and 400 µm and 19.81 % (by volume) of the particles are lower than 10 µm.

Additional information

As the granulometry is dependent on the production process and is not an inherent property of the considered substance, it was decided to report in this dossier only the data on the reaction mass itself, and not the data available on its constituents.
