Additional information

The endpoint of growth inhibition study aquatic plants is covered by a study conducted on Lemna minor.

No experimental data on Basic Red 014 acetate was available. A study was conducted on aquatic algae (scenedesmus subspicatus) using Basic Red 014 phosphate, but no details was available. Details on the read across approach are available in section 13.

Upon a 72 -hour exposure, an EC50 of 4.6 mg/l was found. The significance of such data could not be ascertained , due to the possible interference of the substance colouration on the test outcome. However, in the overall evaluation, such result appeared to be comparable to other available data, thus taken as a qualitative indication of aquatic toxicity.
