Acute oral toxicity:

The acute oral toxicity is 29.2 g per kg body weight in rats. No detailed data are available. 

Acute dermal toxicity:

The acute dermal toxicity is > 20 mL per kg body weight in rabbits. No detailed data are available.

Acute toxicity, inhalation:

No data are available on acute toxicity via inhalation. The vapour pressure is low, therefore no exposure via inhalation is assumed.

Repeated dose toxicity:

No data are available on toxicity after repeated exposure.

Reproductive toxicity

No data are available on reproductive toxicity.

Genetic toxicity

The test item gave negative results in one bacterial gene mutation test, one in vitro cytogenetic study and one in vitro gene mutation study, regardless whether tested without or with the addition of metabolizing enzymes.

Absorption / distribution

No indication for absorption in the gastrointestinal tract is derived from the results of the acute oral toxicity study. Although the log Pow is high (7.9) and the water solubility is low (1.19 mg/L) uptake via the skin either does not occur or does not result in toxic effects (LD50, dermal, rabbit >20 mL/kg bw).


No relevant differences occurred in the three mutagenicity studies with and without the addition of a metabolizing system. Therefore, no indication of the importance of the metabolism of the test item was obtained from these studies.
