Endpoint:
oxidising solids
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
2017
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.17 (Oxidising Properties (Solids))
Version / remarks:
published in O.J. L 142 (2008)
Deviations:
yes
Remarks:
Based on earlier studies the test substance was not dried. The reason is that the test substance contents high hydrophilic sulfonate salts that rapidly bind air humidity. This deviation has no impact on the study results.
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Contact with:
powdered cellulose
Key result
Sample tested:
test mixture as specified
Remarks:
60 % w/w Direct Yellow 28 with cellulose
Parameter:
burning rate
Remarks on result:
mixture does not ignite and burn
Sample tested:
reference mixture as specified
Remarks:
60 % w/w barium nitrate with cellulose
Parameter:
burning rate
Result:
1.1 mm/s
