Additional information

Within the fatty acid category only one chronic fish test is avialable. In that 28 days test zebrafish (Danio rerio) were exposed with a C12 fatty acid sodium salt (van Egmond et al. 1999) according to an OECD-guideline in a flow-through system. Different test concentrations were used in the test (nominal: 2.0, 3.6, 6.4, 11.2 and 20.0 mg corresponding to measured test concentrations of 2.2, 3.7. 6.6, 12.9 and 20.1 mg/L). The reported NOEC-values were 2.0 mg/L (nominal) for mortality and 6.4 mg/L (nominal) for growth.
