Type:
log Pow
Partition coefficient:
6.5
Temp.:
35 °C
Remarks on result:
other: neutral pH
Details on results:
95.64% of test item components possess a log Kow between 4.2 and 6.5.

The main test has been performed using HPLC method with UV detection. Using this method, several peaks were observed. In order to identify the main constituents of the test item, the analysis was repeated using HPLC with mass detection.

The calibration curve built with the references substances allow the determination of Log Kow between 1.1 to 7.2. The values found for the test item are included in this range.

Conclusions:
The log of partition coefficient of the test item is higher than 4.
Two values have been found, one for each main constituent of the test item
Executive summary:

The test item partition coefficient was determined with HPLC method according to recognised guidelines and under GLP.

No deviation from these guidelines was observed during the study.

The log of partition coefficient of the test item is found higher than 4.

The test item is considered to potentially bioaccumulable.

Description of key information

The test item partition coefficient was determined in an experimental key study (Klimisch validity one, according to recognised guidelines).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Log Kow (Log Pow):
6.5
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The log of partition coefficient of the test item is found higher than 4. 95.64% of test item components possess a log Kow between 4.2 and 6.5.

The test item is considered to potentially bioaccumulable.
