- the study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with oxidising properties and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied
- Justification for type of information:
- According to Directive 67/548/EEC (DSD) criteria (as described in the Manual of Decisions for implementation of the 6th and 7th amendments, 2006, §13.2.1), and according to Regulation (EC) N°1272/2008 (CLP) criteria (Annex I §2.13.4., or as listed in the ECHA endpoint specific guidance on information requirements (R.7a, 2008, §R.7.1.13.3)), the substance contains electronegative atoms, such as oxygen, fluorine, chlorine or bromine, but these elements are chemically bonded only to carbon and/or hydrogen. Then oxidising properties are unlikely, and the classification procedure for oxidising liquids shall not apply, no further testing is required.
