Description of key information

There are no studies on the skin sensitisation potential available for the reaction mass alkyl chloride C12 -14. However, for both constituents, 1-chlorododecane and 1-chlorotetradecane, in vivo skin sensitisatinos tests according to Buehler are available and revealed no sensitisation potential.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Justification for classification or non-classification

Since in vivo sensitisation studies for both constituents, 1-chlorododecane and 1-chlorotetradecane, revealed no sensitisation potential, it is concluded that the reaction mass also does not have sensitisation potential. Thus, according to Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 the data are conclusive but not sufficient for classification.
