Key result
Auto-ignition temperature:
175 °C
Atm. press.:
> 1 006.9 - < 1 013.4 hPa

Preliminary test:

The auto-ignition temperature was estimated to be 225°C.

Main study:

Test  Volume of sample (µl)  Auto-ignition temperature (°C)  Minimum auto-ignition temperature (°C)

70 226  179
150 201
300 190
600  179
800 182
2 250  187 178
500 178
900  185
3 350   186 181
700   181
1000   192

The all the test, the ignition delay was inferior to 2 minutes and the color of the flame observed was blue.

The deviation between the values obtained in the three tests was lower than 10°C. According to the guidelines, no further testing was required.

The lowest temperature at which inginition occured was 178°C. This temperature was rounded down to the nearest multiple of 5°C giving an auto-ignition temperature of 175°C.

Conclusions:
The auto-ignition temperature of the test item is 175°C at1006.9 to 1013.4 hPa.
Executive summary:

The auto-ignition temperature was determined according to recognized guidelines (Eu method A.15, DIN 51794 and IEC 60079.4) and under GLP.

No deviation from the guidelines was observed during the test.

The behaviour of the test item was studied in a preliminary test. Then a main study, consiting of 3 tests was performed.

The auto-ignition temperature of the test item is 175°C at 1006.9 hPa to 1013.4hPa.

Description of key information
