Executive summary:

The particle size distribution of Ruthenium (IV) oxide was determined by liquid dispersion, in ethanol, following the ISO 14488:2007(E) and ISO 13320:2009(E) guidelines. The study is a unpublished study following a standard method and is acceptable for use without restriction.

The 10th, 50th and 90th percentile average particle sizes were determined as 0.17, 2.86 and 19.6 µm, respectively.

Description of key information

The 10th, 50th and 90th percentiles from the particle size distribution of ruthenium (IV) oxide were 0.17 μm, 2.86 μm and 19.6 μm, respectively.

Additional information

Potthoff (2015) is an unpublished study following ISO 14488:2007(E) and ISO 13320:2009(E) guidelines, using liquid dispersion in ethanol. The study is considered reliable and suitable for use as the key study for this endpoint.

The 10th, 50th and 90th percentiles from the particle size distribution of ruthenium (IV) oxide were 0.17 μm, 2.86 μm and 19.6 μm, respectively.
