not specified
Type of method:
ebulliometer
Boiling pt.:
226 °C

yes
Remarks on result:
other: Note that the test substance is thermal not stable. It will be decompose before the normal boiling point is reached. Boiling point calculated with the Antoine equation

RESULTS

The determination of the vapour pressure of the test item was performed in accordance with the OECD guidelines for the Testing of Chemicals, guideline No. 104 “Vapour Pressure”, using a Cottrell ebulliometer. The test was performed at a pressure range from 48 to 125 mbar. The test was performed in triplicate. The Antoine coefficients were fitted to the measured data with the least square method.

Antoine coefficients log(p/mbar) = 9.659 – 3534.532/(304.836 + T(°C))

Conclusions:
The boiling temperature of the test substance was found to be 226 ± 5 °C (1013.25 mbar)(calculated by extrapolation). The test substance is thermally not stable at ambient pressure; it decomposes before the normal boiling point is reached.
Executive summary:

The boiling point was determined according to OECD TG 104 with an Cottrell ebulliometer. The boiling temperature of the test substance was found to be 226 ± 5 °C (1013.25 mbar)(calculated by extrapolation).

Description of key information

The boiling point was determined according to OECD TG 104 with an Cottrell ebulliometer. The boiling temperature of the test substance was found to be 226 ± 5 °C (1013.25 mbar)(calculated by extrapolation).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
226 °C

Additional information
