In the course of the first hour after administration, the substance induced vessels clearly more injected than normal (grade 1) in the palpebral conjunctivae of all animals, accompanied by some swelling above normal of the lids (grade 1) and slight discharge.
All the animals showed injected vessels in the bulbar conjunctivae.
24, 48 and 72 hours after administration, the eye injuries seen in the previous readings had totally subsided at which point the observation period ended.
