Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study with acceptable restrictions

Thermal Stability:

The test item showed no thermal effects up to the maximum test temperature of 300 °C.

Dynamic method: vapour-liquid equilibrium

The vapour pressure was measured in the temperature range of 86.1 to 181.8°C.

From the measured data points of the vapour pressure curve, the constants A, B and C of the Antoine equation

log10 P = A + B / (C+T)

can be derived by regression:

A = 10.3432

B = -2576.59

C = 273.15

The vapour pressure of the test item calculated by extrapolation of the measured vapour pressure curve for the temperatures 20, 25 and 50 °C were 0.36, 0.50 and 2.34 hPa, respectively.

Conclusions:
Low volatility (based on volatility bands criteria for occupational exposure (Chesar / ECETOC TRA), < 500 Pa).
Executive summary:

The vapour pressure of the test substance was measured under GLP according to OECD 104 / EU A4 guideline by dynamic method.

A preliminary stability test by DSC showed no thermal effects up to the maximum test temperature of 300 °C.

A series of nine measurements was recorded between 15 and 480 hPa, corresponding to 86 to 182°C. The vapour pressure of the test item was extrapolated from the regression to be 36 Pa at 20°C, and 50 Pa at 25°C.

Description of key information

(extrapolated) Low volatility.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
36 Pa
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

A reliable experimental study, conducted according to a recognized OECD/EU method, is available. Despite minor restrictions for accuracy, due to distant extrapolation, it is considered as a key study. The result is retained as key data.
