Additional information

The acute toxicity of zinc bis dimethyldithiocarbamate (CAS No. 137-30-4) to fish species has been investigated in several studies. The test selected as key study was conducted according to OECD Guideline No. 203 (1992) and EPA OPP Guideline 72-1 (1996): Fish Acute Toxicity Test, under GLP conditions. After 96 hours of exposure within a flow-through water regime, mortality and other sub-lethal effects could be observed in Lepomis macrochirus at concentrations higher than 0.0046 mg/L and an LC50 value of 0.0097 mg a.i./L was determined. Additional studies using the same species and Oncorhynchus mykiss as test organisms exhibited lower toxicity values, resulting in LC50s of 0.57 and 1.7 mg a.i./L respectively.
