Additional information
A study was conducted to determine the acute toxicity of the test substance to Daphnia magna in a 24 h static test, according to the OECD Guideline 202 (1984). Daphnia were exposed to a nominal test substance concentration range from 32 to 1000 mg/l.
The EC50 (24h) was found to be 216 mg/l.
This value can be taken into consideration as it is in accordance with the low aquatic toxicity observed in the other organisms of the aquatic ecosystem (i.e. fish and aquatic plant). It is worth noting the width difference between the minimum value for the necessary classification (Aquatic Chronic 3 - 100 mg/l) and the EC50 value found from the experimental results.
Moreover, according to the results derived from a QSAR prediction*, the substance can be considered as not classified for aquatic toxicity against Daphnia.
