Description of key information

Zirconium disilicide is a non-flammable (according to UN GHS Rev. 6 criteria), grey solid powder with a relative density of 4.88 g/cm³. The substance shows no self-ignition up to a temperature of 400 °C and is highly insoluble in water (no exact value determined because solubility is below the method detection limit). The melting point of the inorganic substance is 1620 °C. The mean diameter of the ZrSi2 particles (D50 value) is 80.59 µm.
