Temperature is corrected to standard atmospheric pressure and temperature deviation by special equation:

T = C + 0,25 (101,3 – p),where:

C - the ignition temperature, taking into account the deviation = 128.4 °C;

p - the ambient barometric pressure = 101.7 kPa

Executive summary:

In accordance with GLP study and EU A.9 method, the determination of flash point was carried out. Three measurements were performed, one preliminary test and 2 main tests. Preliminary test was neccessary because of lack of information about the flash point of tested material. After preliminary test, the main test were carried out applying the ignition source thereafter at 2ºC beginning from the temperature lower by 20ºC than the temperature which at the sample vapors extinguished the flame in the preliminary test (132ºC). Flash point of test item is 128.5 ± 2.6 °C.
