Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guideline:
other: ASTM E 537, ASTM E 473, EN ISO 11357-3
GLP compliance:
no
Other quality assurance:
other: EN ISO 9001
Type of method:
differential scanning calorimetry
Specific details on test material used for the study:
Storage: < 30 °C
Atm. press.:
992 hPa
Remarks on result:
other: No melting point, the test item solidifies amorphously in the glassy state at -36 °C.

Results
No melting peak was seen in the heating cycle. A relaxation peak and an endothermic Cp-step at - 36 °C (2nd heating) can be seen in the DSC curve, which is characteristic of a glass transition. The test item solidifies amorphously in the glassy state. No melting point was detected.

Description of key information

No melting point detected, the test item solidifies amorphously in the glassy state at ca. -36 °C (OECD 102, DSC).

Key value for chemical safety assessment
