For the assessment of the aquatic toxicity of the substance, experimental studies are available, which cover the short-term toxicity to all three trophic levels and the long-term toxicity to one trophic level (aquatic algae). All studies were performed according to OECD guidelines and GLP. Fish were the most sensitive trophic level for acute toxicity with an LC50 (96 h) of 2.52 mg/L. The acute effect concentrations for aquatic algae were in the same range with an ErC50 (72 h) of 5.98 mg/L and an ErC10 (72 h) of 1.04 mg/L. Daphnia were slightly less sensitive with an EC50 (48 h) of 18.6 mg/L Daphnia.

In a respiration inhibition test with STP microorganisms an EC10 (3 h) of 35.4 mg/L and an EC50 (3 h) of 305 mg/L were determined.
