Description of key information

The substance is an orange powder at 1013 hPa and 20 °C.

No melting of the substance is observed up to 450 °C; exothermic decomposition occurs between 262 and 338 °C with an energy release of 440.2 J/g.

The relative density, determined by means of a pycnometer, is 1.324 at 20 °C.

The substance is soluble in water, ca. 7.06 g/l at 20 °C at pH 7.19, and average log Pow is 1.5856 at pH 6.75. Vapour pressure, surface tension and flash point can be neglected.

Both experimental data as well as known experience in handling and use indicate the substance as non auto-flammable or flammable.

No explosive properties are expected, based on the thermal profile recorded in a DSC analysis and no oxidising potential is expected based on the chemical structure.
