Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

The screening evaluation failed to evidence any reason of concern, on the basis of the thermal behaviour investigation and the known experience in handling and use of the substance.

In addition, the substance resulted as non sensitive to shock in tests conducted in 1974 and 1977. No data on purity is available; commercial name of test samples is Telonecthorange AGT and Telonechtorange AGT 200 %, respectively.

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to the CLP Regulation (EC 1272/2008), 2.1.4.2. Screening procedure section, the screening procedure is aimed at identifying the presence of such reactive groups and the potential for rapid energy release. If the screening procedure identifies the substance or mixture to be a potential explosive, the acceptance procedure (section 10.3 of the UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Manual of Tests and Criteria) has to be performed.

Screening procedure failed to evidence any reason for concern, on the basis of thermal behaviour.

In conclusion, the substance can be considered as non explosive, according to the CLP Regulation (EC 1272/2008).
