Additional information

To fulfill the endpoint adsorption/desorption screening, the adsorption coefficient (Koc) of L-glutamic acid diacetic acid tetrasodium salt (GLDA-Na4) was estimated using the High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) method. The average measured Koc value for GLDA-Na4 in the ionized form (pH 2) as well as in the nonionized form (pH 7) as calculated from the test is < 32 (Log Koc < 1.5), indicating that GLDA-Na4 will be mobile in soil and not be sorbed by sludge in a sewage treatment plant.

No further data on transport and distribution is required as the substance is readily biodegradable.
