Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The DV-SOLV 1059 has no acute toxic effects on Daphnia magna up to the concentration of 100 mg/l under the test conditions.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One reliable key study (Lab research, 2010) is available for this endpoint. The acute toxicity of DV-SOLV 1059 to Daphnia magna was determined in a 48 -hour static test according to the EU Commission Directive 92/69/EEC, Part C.2, the OECD Guideline for testing of chemicals No. 203 (1992) and the EPA Health Effects Test Guidelines (OPPTS 850.1070). The validity criteria were met and the study has been performed in accordance with the Principles of Good Laboratory Plactice Regulations.

Because significant toxic response was not observed during the preliminary concentration range-finding tests, only one test concentration at 100 mg/l was used in the main study. Additionnaly, a control was tested in parallel.

The correcting measured test item concentration was 94.5 mg/l at the start and 93.5 mg/l at the end of the test.

The deviation from the nominal concentration was 5.5% at the start and 6.5% at the end of the test.

Because of the deviation from the nominal concentration was less than 20% throghout the test, the results are based on the niminal concentration.

In the control and at the test concentration of 100 mg/l, no immobilisation of the daphnia were observed during the period of 48 hours.

The summary of the biological results is as follows :

The 24h EC50value:                    > 100mg test item/L

The 48h EC50value:                    > 100mg test item/L

48h EC0(NOEC) value:                   100mg test item/L

48h LOEC value:                          > 100mg test item/L

48h EC100value:                           > 100mg test item/L

48h LOEC value:                          > 100mg test item/L

48h EC100value:                           > 100mg test item/L
