Description of key information

GLP study according to EU testing method A.1 (capillary method).
Analytical development Physicochemistry, Bayer Schering Pharma AG, Berlin. Study report No. A48463 (ADP 2009_75), dated 2009-12-08.
Result: melting range 264.4 °C to 269.1 °C (537.4 K to 542.1 K) under decomposition.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The melting range was determined using the capillary method. A small amount of the test item was placed in a capillary tube and packed tightly. The measurements were carried out with a Büchi Melting point B 540 instrument. The measurement was started approx. 10 K below the expected melting temperature with a heating rate of 0.5 K/min. During the determination of the melting temperature, the temperatures were recorded at the beginning of the melting and at the final stage. The experiment was made in triplicate. The melting process was accompanied by decomposition, which started at 261 °C.
