Description of key information

non flammable

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

According to EC 1907/2006 Annex XI only the flammability of liquids is deduced from flash point. For this solid substance a flash point was determined, because the substance melts at relative low temperatures. Therefore the flash point determination was chosen. The flammability in this case could be deduced from the flash point.

Based on chemical structure pyrophoricity and flammability in contact with water are not expected.

Flash point: 160.5 °C

Justification for classification or non-classification

No classification, the substance is a non flammable liquid / solid (depends on temperature of delivery or ambient temperature).

Justification: The substance is a liquid / solid with a flash point of 160.5 °C (> 60 °C). Based on the chemical structure pyrophoricity and flammability in contact with water are not expected.
